BURDEKIN TABLE Small table. 1990. Limited edition by V.I.A. Originally designed for the Burdekin hotel in Sydney , Australia, and a result of Venlets early efforts to transform a two-dimensional surface into a threedimensional volume in a most economical way. The round and broadly rimmed tabletop is turned out of a single anodised aluminium sheet of only 3 mm thick. Supported by three cylindrical legs in the same material that can be screwed into the underside of the tabletop, without the joint being visible. The tabletop is also protected with a translucent powder coating and available in gold, silver, electric blue and yellow, while its overall form is enhanced by a solar ray pattern that is subtlely etched into its surface. 70 diam x 72 h
